Tooth Coloured Restorations

Tooth coloured restorations are done using a composite resin material which comes in many shades to match any tooth. It is a soft putty-like material which is layered into the area of tooth to be repaired and set firm using a curing light. It is then trimmed and polished to replicate a natural tooth. They are suitable for repairing both the front and the back teeth. Teeth filled with composite material tend to be stronger as it bonds to the surrounding tooth. They are also much more attractive than amalgam fillings. Laboratory fabricated tooth coloured restorations may be required when larger areas of the tooth structure need to be restored. Those too may be fabricated from either composite or porcelain. An additional visit is often required for these inlay type restorations.

Inlays & Onlays

These are ceramic or reinforced hybrid resin ceramics and can now be completed in a single visit with the latest CEREC technology. They are the best alternative to restore larger cavities in an aesthetic way and help to strengthen the tooth at the same time.
